How To Maintain Your Hair Colour

Updated: Oct 30, 2021

1. No DIY Hair-dos

No matter what, please don’t even think about doing a box dye. We know things are serious but really, let’s not do anything we might regret!

Have trust in your stylist's advice, get in touch with them first - they will talk you through everything you need to know and provide suitable alternatives to see you through.

The same goes for cutting, believe me, it’s V. Easy to get it wrong! They will be more than happy to advise you, they may even make a video or set up a video call with you to demonstrate any techniques.

2. Wash Your Hair Less

Make your colour last Longer by washing it a little less. Try to get one more day out of your usual routine to preserve shine and boost hair health. Dry shampoo is your new best friend!

When you do wash your hair, ensure your using a brand consistent with the colour you normally have applied in the salon, that way not only will it help to maintain your colours vibrancy, but you're preventing your hair from oxidisation, this aids the health and condition of your hair, therefore, the colours longevity.

3. Don’t underestimate temporary colours
